Lathe Safety Simulator VR Play Lathe Safety Simulator and learn how to operate an industrial lathe. Follow the tutorials to identify all the major lathe parts and related tools. During this process, you learn all about the lathe including how to turn a work piece using a range of drills and cutting tools. The free version covers the most classic milling machines and lathes. A commencial version with more features will also be available, in order to simulate more complex machines. Fagor Automation, besides updating the free simulator version with new features and functions, has added programming examples for lathe and milling. Woodwork Simulator gives you the tools to work with wood in remarkably realistic ways. Using a range of tools, you’ll be able to saw with accurate precision, chisel to the depth you desire, drill without restraint, plane wood to a smooth finish, or carve out intricate designs on the lathe. No 5-axis simulation. See issue #17. No Lathe simulation. No CAM facilities yet, e.g. 3D model to tool path conversion. Does not yet detect over/under cutting, collisions with the tool shaft or fixtures or rapid moves in the material. Not all of the LinuxCNC GCode language is implemented, yet. Future Plans.

A handy machine simulator application that can definitely help you learn how to program and operate it using a comprehensive interface
What's new in Machining Simulation 2.1.2.3 Lathe:
- bugs fixed.
Machining Simulation is an application especially designed to help you get familiar with what it takes to using a CNC machine.
A CNC, or a ‘Computer numerical control’ machine is a vertically controlled milling machine which runs using programmed commands that are stored in a memory device. This means that a CNC machine is capable of milling with much higher precision and at faster speeds opposed to a manual one.
The interface of Machining Simulation is divided into two main sections, a 3D machine view, and an operator panel view. The first offers you a representation of how the CNC machine looks and even allows you to hide it’s body so you have a better view of what happens inside. You are able to zoom in for a closer inspection and have a real-time demonstration of how everything works.
Machining Simulation is designed for those who actually need to use the CNC machine or to familiarize themselves with it. If for you are none of those and are not in the least familiar with it, then gazing in the control panel is only going to be another way to waste time. The application displays a user-friendly interface, but if you don't have the slightest clue of how to use it, then you should grab a manual.
In terms of controls, it offers you the exact layout and buttons that a real machine has. Mercedes vito 113 2002 workshop manual. They have the same functions and of course, if something goes wrong, you get to redo it without any actual loss of material or hardware damage.
Since it’s a learning tool, you get to save the workpiece and use of later as well as import previous project that you need to complete or correct.
With the above to consider and much more to discover, you can’t really see what Machining Simulation can do without actually testing it.
